  • Application Software – Set of instruction or programs enable the user to interact with a computer.
  • Need – User can perform single or multiple tasks at the end user level.

General Purpose Software     

  • To do simple computer task, General purpose software is used.
  • Word processing software and Electronics spread sheet, Presentation Software, Database Management System, DTP, Graphics Software, Multimedia Software are exam of General purpose software.
  • Microsoft word is Word processing software and Microsoft Excel is Electronics spread sheet for example.
  • Microsoft Power point is Presentation software, Adobe Page maker is DTP, Adobe Photoshop is Graphics software and VLC Media Player is Multimedia Software.
