How to Change name on Google
•In a Google account, we use many Google services, like Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Photos, and many others, which automatically use our account name.
•We can edit it separately for some specific Google services.
•But when we change the name from Gmail, it’s easier to make changes to our name on your Google Account.
•And it will be reflected throughout all of our Google services.
•Changing our Gmail display name is not the same as changing the name of our Google account.
•Emails sent from our Gmail account will therefore display a name other than our Google account name.
•Google gives us unlimited opportunities to change the name of our account.
When we can change our Google Name
•If we want to update your first or last name in official manner (such as updating it to the last name of our spouse after getting married).
•If we want to utilize our first or last name’s initial.
•If we want to add a middle name with your first name.
•When we wish to substitute our middle name for our last name in order to maintain our privacy.
•If we would rather use our full first name than the shortened form, or vice versa (such as “Ram” versus “Ramkrishna” or “Nilu” versus “Nilkanta”).
•We may change our Google name via a web browser, the settings section of our Android device, or the Gmail iOS app.
•It’s simple to change our account name on Google whether we’ve officially changed our name or if we want to use a new name online. It can be done from our desktop, Android device, iPhone, or iPad.
