AM Frequency Vs FM Frequency

AM Vs FM

AM – The carrier wave is modified according to the data.

FM – The frequency of the carrier wave is modified as per the transmit data

AM = The varying Carrier signal + The varying message signal

FM =  1. The Carrier signal Frequency + The varying message signal.

2. The carrier amplitude remains constant, but its frequency is changed in accordance with the modulating signal.

3. The higher the amplitude of the information signal, the greater the frequency change.

What is Carrier Frequency and the relation with Signal Frequency?

Carrier frequency is the frequency (the number of waves per second) of a carrier wave (a wave that carries a signal to convey information). Carrier frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz).

Carrier Frequency > Signal Frequency

Why High Frequency Carrier Signal?
