He was known as First scientists in human history, so that he is known as father of science. He was born in a town named milutes now in Turkey. By profession he was a businessman and apart from it he was a mathematician, politician and astrologists . but his contribution to science started later.
On 24th May 585 bce there was a total eclipse of the sun but he told the correct time when it will be over by his maths. He told to people not to worry about this, after sometimes day light will come and night will end soon. And actually after sometimes it happened.
Before this when total eclipse of the sun happened people used to scared and cry but when he told the time and reason the day light will come, people saw that it is actually happening. Otherwise people used to think that it was due to some evil things and may be any curse of
infidelity . but gradually because of Thales people understood the science behind this.
But unlike the priest Thales did not took any credit for this, he gave all the credit to science only. That’s why he was called the first scientist in humnan history. He then practiced geometry in Egupt for some years, he learnt the hight of a pyramid by geometry. By this technique he then proved that how far is the ship from the see shore.
